Shopify alternative: one subscription instead of an app store

Shopify runs your shop and takes the maintenance off your hands — so does Neuramerce. The difference sits behind the storefront: inventory, purchasing, returns, point of sale, customer service and marketing are built into the platform with us, instead of living in separate apps with their own subscriptions.

TL;DR — who is each one for?

ChooseShopify

if you want to sell internationally fast, value a large app ecosystem and your operations already run in other systems. For pure online selling it's an excellent product with an enormous community.

Choose

if you want to bundle the systems behind the shop: inventory across multiple warehouses, purchasing, returns, point of sale, customer contact and marketing in one environment, with support from one party and one bill instead of a shop subscription plus ten apps.

The full comparison

Shopify compared on what's included in the subscription — without apps from the app store. Almost everything labelled “via app” below can be done in Shopify; it's an extra monthly fee and an extra system that has to keep working.

What does your Shopify stack really cost?

The subscription is only the start. Add the apps you needed for reviews, returns, inventory and mailing, plus the theme and the custom work around it.

Why shops switch from Shopify

Rarely because the shop doesn't work. Usually because everything around it became too many separate subscriptions.

No more app stack

Reviews, returns, inventory, mailing and inbox are built into the platform. No ten apps renewing separately and needing a re-test after every update.

Operations belong with the shop

Purchasing, warehouse, returns and point of sale right next to your orders. No middle layer that stops syncing overnight.

AI that truly knows your shop

The chatbot answers “where is my parcel?” with the actual shipping status, because orders and inventory live in the same system.

Support from a single party

No ticket with the app maker and a second one with the shop. One party responsible for the whole.

One invoice instead of twelve

Subscription plus apps plus separate tools adds up, for most shops, to more than what the platform costs.

Your data stays yours

Export your products, customers and order history whenever you want — including if you ever want to leave.

Je data blijft van jou

Producten, klanten en orderhistorie exporteer je wanneer je wilt — ook als je ooit weer weg wilt.

Switch in 4 steps

Your shop stays open. We handle the migration; you just keep selling.

  1. Demo and intake

30 minutes. We look at which apps you run, which of them the platform replaces and what's genuinely unique about your setup.

  2. Connect and run alongside

We let Neuramerce run alongside your Shopify shop for inventory, orders and customer service first. Your customers won't notice a thing.

  3. Free migration

Products, variants, customers, order history and content come across. We preserve your URL structure and SEO value with redirects.

  4. Live, on one invoice

You switch over, we cancel the apps you no longer need, and your team gets training.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about switching from Shopify.

If you need more than a webshop, yes. Shopify is strong at pure online selling and international scaling. Neuramerce is built for shops that also want to run inventory, purchasing, returns, point of sale, customer service and marketing — without stacking separate apps with their own subscriptions for each.
The subscription is the visible part. On top come apps for reviews, returns, inventory management and mailing, often a theme and custom work, and for many shops transaction fees as well. Use the calculator on this page to work out your own stack.
Yes. We migrate products with variants, customers, orders and content for you, including your blog posts and pages.
Not if the migration is done properly. We keep your URL structure where possible and set redirects for everything that changes, including meta titles and descriptions.
No. You can keep your Shopify shop running and use Neuramerce for inventory, orders or customer service first. You move the shop only when you're ready.
That happens. During the intake we go through your app stack and tell you honestly what the platform replaces and what it doesn't. If something essential is missing, switching simply isn't a good idea yet.
Our point of sale with card terminal is part of the platform, so inventory and orders run through the same administration as your webshop. With Shopify, POS is a separate subscription.
Dat komt voor. In de intake lopen we je appstapel door en zeggen we eerlijk wat het platform vervangt en wat niet. Blijkt er iets essentieels te ontbreken, dan is overstappen simpelweg nog geen goed idee.
