Watermelon alternative: an AI chatbot with your whole webshop behind it

Watermelon is a Dutch AI agent that handles questions automatically on chat, WhatsApp and social, with a sharp entry price. It isn't a full helpdesk: telephony, CSAT and order actions are still missing. Neuramerce puts orders, returns and customer value next to the conversation, with an AI chatbot and an inbox for your whole team.

Inbox included in every Neuramerce subscription

TL;DR: who is what for?

Choose

if you mainly want to automate away recurring questions with an AI agent, want to get started quickly without a notice period and keep your webshop on another platform. Watermelon is strong and affordable at that.

Choose

if, alongside an AI chatbot, you also want a full inbox for your team, with telephony, orders, returns and warranty next to the conversation, in the same platform as your webshop.

The full comparison

Watermelon compared on what both systems do themselves. Watermelon wins on AI automation and a quick, low-cost start; the difference lies in the inbox around it: telephony, cases and your webshop in the same system.

Neuramerce is still very much in development. Need a particular integration or feature? Let us know: many features can be built fairly quickly. Feel free to get in touch.

Why webshops switch from Watermelon

Rarely because the AI falls short. Usually because a real inbox is needed alongside the chatbot after all.

An inbox for your whole team

Watermelon revolves around the AI agent. The Neuramerce Inbox also has assigning, teams, notes and snoozing for the conversations a human needs to handle.

Telephony in the same queue

Watermelon has no telephony. In the Inbox, calls, missed calls and voicemail sit alongside chat, email and WhatsApp.

Returns and warranty in the conversation

You open and edit a return or warranty case from the conversation, with status, costs and timeline alongside.

No conversation bundles

With Watermelon, the AI pauses when your bundle runs out, and extra conversations cost €25 per 250. With Neuramerce, the AI is included in the subscription.

One bill, one support team

No separate chatbot next to your shop, mailing and CRM. One platform, one support team.

Switching in 4 steps

Your customers won't notice a thing. We connect your channels and keep Watermelon running alongside until everything works.
  1. Demo and intake

30 minutes. We look at which channels, knowledge sources and integrations you use in Watermelon and whether the platform covers them. Honest answer included: our AI only answers on its own on the chat widget.
  2. Connect channels and knowledge

You connect your email addresses, WhatsApp number, Instagram, Messenger and the chat widget to the Inbox. The AI learns from your site and your own knowledge base.
  3. Run side by side

For a few days, conversations come in to both systems. That way you see in your own day-to-day work whether everything is right.
  4. Go live and cancel

Once everything runs as it should, you cancel Watermelon. One environment, one bill.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions about switching from Watermelon.

If, alongside an AI chatbot, you want a full inbox, telephony and your webshop in one platform, yes. If you mainly want an AI agent that handles as many questions as possible on its own on WhatsApp, Instagram and chat, Watermelon is further ahead there.
Not yet. The AI chatbot answers questions independently on your site's chat widget. On WhatsApp and email, the AI suggests draft replies that your team sends.
From your own site, your knowledge base and the instructions you set yourself. Questions the chatbot couldn't answer are grouped together: with one click you add them to the knowledge base.
Not from the conversation itself yet. You see the order next to the conversation and open it in the Orders module with one click. Return and warranty cases, however, you edit directly from the conversation.
Nothing extra: the Inbox is part of the platform subscription. You pay one rate for site, shop, inventory, customer contact and marketing.
