Zendesk alternative: customer service without a pile of add-ons

Zendesk is the best-known helpdesk in the world, with mature routing, SLAs and reporting. For a webshop, though, that means: order actions only from Professional, AI per resolution and Copilot per agent. Neuramerce puts orders, returns and customer value next to the conversation inside the platform your shop runs on, with the AI included in the subscription.

Inbox included in every Neuramerce subscription

TL;DR: who is what for?

Choose

if you have a large support team with multiple departments, SLAs, extensive reporting and telephony as your main channel. That's what Zendesk is built for, and where it remains strong.

Choose

if you run a webshop with a small team: customer contact sits in the same system as your orders and inventory, without AI costs per resolution and without an implementation project.

The full comparison

Zendesk compared on what both systems do themselves. Zendesk wins on routing, SLAs, macros and reporting; the difference lies in how close the helpdesk sits to your orders and what AI and order actions cost per agent.

Neuramerce is still very much in development. Need a particular integration or feature? Let us know: many features can be built fairly quickly. Feel free to get in touch.

What does your Zendesk stack really cost?

The Suite licence per agent is just the start. Add the AI resolutions, Copilot and the apps for your shop integration. Compare that total with one platform rate that includes the Inbox.

Why webshops switch from Zendesk

Rarely because Zendesk falls short. Usually because it's built for support departments, not for a webshop with a small team.

No meter per resolution

Zendesk charges AI agents per resolved query and Copilot per agent. With Neuramerce, the AI chatbot and the draft replies are included in the subscription.

Orders without an integration or app

With Zendesk, order data comes via the Shopify integration or a third-party app. With Neuramerce, the inbox is the same system as your shop.

No implementation project

According to reviewers, setting up Zendesk often takes weeks. The Inbox is ready as soon as your channels are connected.

Returns and warranty in the conversation

You open and edit a return or warranty case from the conversation, with status, costs and timeline alongside.

One bill, one support team

No separate helpdesk next to your shop, mailing and CRM. One platform, one support team.

Switching in 4 steps

Your customers won't notice a thing. We connect your channels and keep Zendesk running alongside until everything works.
  1. Demo and intake

30 minutes. We look at which channels, macros, SLAs and integrations you use in Zendesk and whether the platform covers them. Honest answer included: the Inbox doesn't have SLAs and macros yet.
  2. Connect channels

You connect your email addresses, WhatsApp number, Instagram, Messenger and the chat widget to the Inbox.
  3. Run side by side

For a few days, conversations come in to both systems. That way you see in your own day-to-day work whether everything is right.
  4. Go live and cancel

Once everything runs as it should, you cancel Zendesk. One environment, one bill.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions about switching from Zendesk.

For webshops with a small to medium-sized team, yes: channels, orders, returns and AI sit inside the platform your shop runs on. If you need SLAs, macros, extensive routing or a large contact centre, Zendesk is further ahead.
Not yet. You can assign conversations to a colleague or team, snooze and close them, and the AI suggests draft replies. Quick replies with variables, SLA monitoring and automatic routing are not there yet.
The AI chatbot on your site and the draft replies for your team are included in the subscription. There's no charge per resolution and no Copilot licence per agent.
Not from the conversation itself yet. You see the order next to the conversation and open it in the Orders module with one click. Return and warranty cases, however, you edit directly from the conversation.
Nothing extra: the Inbox is part of the platform subscription. You pay one rate for site, shop, inventory, customer contact and marketing.
