Help Scout alternative: a calm inbox with your orders alongside

Help Scout is one of the nicest shared inboxes, with WhatsApp since March 2026. For a webshop you miss telephony, a Dutch interface and integrations beyond Shopify, and the AI agent charges per resolution. Neuramerce puts orders, returns and customer value next to the conversation in the platform your shop runs on.

Inbox included in every Neuramerce subscription

TL;DR: who is what for?

Choose

if you mainly provide support by email, don't have a webshop at your core, or are looking for a simple inbox with saved replies, SLAs and good reporting. Help Scout is calm and mature in that respect.

Choose

if you run a webshop and want customer contact, orders, returns and telephony in one platform, with the AI included in the subscription.

The full comparison

Help Scout compared on what both systems do themselves. Help Scout wins on saved replies, SLAs and a calm email experience; the difference lies in telephony, the integration with your shop and the Dutch language.

Neuramerce is still very much in development. Need a particular integration or feature? Let us know: many features can be built fairly quickly. Feel free to get in touch.

Why webshops switch from Help Scout

Rarely because Help Scout falls short as an inbox. Usually because a webshop needs more than email.

Telephony in the same inbox

Help Scout has no telephony of its own and refers you to Aircall. In the Neuramerce Inbox, calls, missed calls and voicemail come into the same queue.

No charge per resolution

AI Answers costs $0.75 per resolved question. With Neuramerce, the AI chatbot and the draft replies are included in the subscription.

Built for Dutch-speaking teams

Help Scout's interface is in English. The Neuramerce Inbox admin is in Dutch, which suits teams that work in Dutch. There is no English admin interface for the Inbox yet.

Returns and warranty in the conversation

You open and edit a return or warranty case from the conversation, with status, costs and timeline alongside.

One bill, one support team

No separate helpdesk next to your shop, mailing and CRM. One platform, one support team.

Switching in 4 steps

Your customers won't notice a thing. We connect your channels and keep Help Scout running alongside until everything works.
  1. Demo and intake

30 minutes. We look at which inboxes, saved replies, SLAs and integrations you use in Help Scout and whether the platform covers them. Honest answer included: the Inbox doesn't have canned responses with variables or SLAs yet.
  2. Connect channels

You connect your email addresses, WhatsApp number, Instagram, Messenger and the chat widget to the Inbox.
  3. Run side by side

For a few days, conversations come in to both systems. That way you see in your own day-to-day work whether everything is right.
  4. Go live and cancel

Once everything runs as it should, you cancel Help Scout. One environment, one bill.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions about switching from Help Scout.

For webshops that want customer contact, orders, returns and telephony in one system, yes. Do you mainly provide support by email without a webshop at your core, and do you need SLAs and saved replies with variables? Then Help Scout is a better fit.
Partly. The Inbox doesn't have quick replies with variables or SLA monitoring yet. You can assign conversations, snooze them, add notes and link them to teams, and the AI suggests draft replies.
The AI chatbot on your site and the draft replies for your team are included in the subscription. There's no charge per resolution, as there is with AI Answers.
Not from the conversation itself yet. You see the order next to the conversation and open it in the Orders module with one click. Return and warranty cases, however, you edit directly from the conversation.
Nothing extra: the Inbox is part of the platform subscription. You pay one rate for site, shop, inventory, customer contact and marketing.
